Manager Trainee
The Manager Trainee program is how every Waffle House leader gets their start, learning the business from the ground up.
- Learn every aspect of restaurant operations in a 3-month training program
- Receive structured training and mentorship from Senior Managers throughout your development
- Uphold Waffle House standards for food quality, cleanliness, and Customer experience
- Progress toward readiness to run your own restaurant as a Unit Manager
Unit Manager
As a Unit Manager, the restaurant is yours to lead. You're responsible for the food, the team, the Culture, and the Customer experience.
- Oversee 1 restaurant
- Manage all daily operations including service, production, and staffing
- Coach and counsel team members to meet performance and certification standards
- Build relationships with Customers and become a fixture in your local Community
District Manager
The District Manager role is where your leadership impact multiplies, working across multiple restaurants, and supporting Unit Managers and their teams.
- Oversee 2–3 Unit Managers and 60+ hourly Associates across your District
- Develop and coach Unit Managers to strengthen their leadership and operational skills
- Monitor restaurant performance and hold teams accountable to Waffle House standards
- Support recruiting, staffing, and training efforts across your locations
Division Manager
As a Division Manager, you’ll lead a team of District Managers and partner with senior leadership on long-term growth and organizational priorities.
- Oversee 2–3 District Managers and the restaurants within their areas
- Drive operational excellence, team development, and facility standards across your Division
- Lead recruiting and training initiatives to build a strong pipeline of leaders
- Champion Community relations and the Waffle House brand

Shift Supervisor
The Shift Supervisor is a step up in responsibility and a sign that you're ready to lead. You know the rhythm of the restaurant and help set the tone for everyone around you.
- Play a key leadership role during evening and overnight shifts
- Support Unit Managers in leading daily shift operations and maintaining Waffle House standards
- Coach and guide hourly Associates throughout the shift, leading by example
Door Corp (Host)
First impressions are everything. As part of our Door Corps, you set the tone from the moment Customers walk through the door.
- Greet and Seat customers with genuine warmth and a friendly welcome
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area throughout your shift
- Play an important supporting role in keeping the front of house running smoothly
Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll travel between restaurants in your area, keeping everything running safely and efficiently behind the scenes.
- Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep
- Respond to service needs across multiple restaurant locations in your area
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Uphold Waffle House safety and facility standards
